It is my great pleasure and privilege to invite you to participate in the 14th International Congress on the Chemistry of Cement (ICCC 2015) during 13~16 October 2015 in Beijing, China. Since the First International Congress on the Chemistry of Cement started in London in 1919, it has become the most influential routine congress for promoting worldwide cooperation and communication on the chemistry of cement and concrete technology. It has been focused on how cement and concrete contributing to global sustainability. The past decade has witnessed a rapid progress of cement science and a significant increase in the number of attendees participating in the ICCC. Around 1,000 scientists attended the last ICCC2011 in Madrid. All the previous events have aroused concern of cement and concrete circles and attracted a great number of scientific professionals, including many world famous experts. The ICCC 2015 will demonstrate low carbon cement and green development worldwide, and renowned experts from all over the world will be invited to present their work at the ICCC2015. The scientific program will feature topics of the latest research and development covering clinker chemistry (incl. process technology), hydration of Portland cement, SCMs, admixtures, alternative binders, durability of concrete as well as standards and codes. As the world’s most populous country, China’s contributions in the arts and sciences are enormous. Its culture dates back to thousands of years. Beijing has been a capital for more than 700 years. From the best-preserved ancient palaces to fabulous dining and entertainment, you will find them all in Beijing. Beijing, well connected with other Chinese cities by air and land, is a good starting point for pre- and post- congress tours. The ancient city will definitely leave you with an unforgettable memory.
