RTS2 (Remote Telescope System 2nd version, http://rts2.org) is an open source observatory manager software for robotic telescopes. Its driving requirements originated from quick follow-ups of celestial phenomena. After some years of development it is now widely used in some Robotic Autonomous Observatories (RAOs), such as BOOTES, BART, FRAM, Watcher, etc. BOOTES-4, as the 4th station of BOOTES global network of robotic observatories, was installed in Lijiang observatory, Yunnan Province of China, promoting the sciences and technologies in RAO, Virtual Observatory (VO), autonomous data processing, etc. More and more astronomers and engineers are building RTS2 powered projects and expecting improvements of the system.
