The organizing committee and the community of sedimentologists and stratigraphers in the CzechRepublic cordially invite you to the Central European Meeting of Sedimentary Geology to be held in Olomouc, Czech Republic from June 9 to 13, 2014. The goal of the meeting is to gather geoscientists and students, who not only share common ideas, working areas and geological fields of Central Europe but also are linked by similar tradition, present-day development, co-operation and friendship. We would like to enhance discussion on common sedimentologic and stratigraphic topics and working areas, including the Carpathians, the Alps, and the Variscan orogeny and surrounding platform sedimentary systems. Our goal is to strengthen the exchange of knowledge and to promote the Central European region as an important part of the European community of sedimentary geologists. The meeting is aimed at people from Central European countries including Austria, Croatia, CzechRepublic, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia but participants from other countries are warmly welcome!
