We are pleased to announce the Cold Spring Harbor Asia conference “Neurobiology: Diverse Species and Conserved Principles”, which will be held in Suzhou, China, located approximately 60 miles west of Shanghai. The conference will begin at 7:00 pm on the evening of Monday September 15, 2014, and conclude, after a banquet on Thursday evening, September 19. In this meeting, we aim to bring together scientists addressing various neurobiological topics in diverse organisms (including but not limited to Aplysia, C. elegans, Drosophila, zebrafish, and mouse), to stimulate discussion among them and foster new collaborations, leading to a better understanding of conserved principles in neurobiology. This conference is similar in design to the famous Cold Spring Harbor meetings series. The conference will include eight oral sessions and one poster session. Many talks will be selected from the openly submitted abstracts on the basis of scientific merit and relevance. Social events throughout the conference provide ample opportunity for informal interactions.
