Mechanical systems are currently making giant strides into the quantum regime. Both nano-electromechanical and optomechanical setups have been cooled down to the quantum ground state of mechanical motion, ushering in a new era of quantum phononics. This meeting will provide a platform for presenting and discussing the latest advances in this burgeoning, interdisciplinary field, with its significant implications for quantum information processing, sensitive measurements and fundamental research. The meeting will cover the diverse variety of concepts and experimental systems that are contributing to these developments. It will include topics such as coherent control of phononic systems, conversion of quantum information involving vibrational modes, nonclassical mechanical quantum states, multimode systems and phononic circuits, hybrid quantum systems, and other new approaches. Both theoretical and experimental aspects of the field will be represented.
