Following the extremely successful conference in 2012, we are pleased to announce that the 2013 China Conference of Developmental Biology (CCDB) will be held in Tangshan Hot Spring Resort, Nanjing, from Sep. 26 to 29, 2013. This year’s CCDB will be organized by the Model Animal Research Center, Nanjing University and the organizing committeeis headed by Dr. Xiang Gao and Dr. Zhongzhou Yang. The center themes for the conference will be “the Mechanisms underlying Development”. “Developmental and Congenital Diseases”, “Advance in iPS and Regenerative Medicine Research” and “Regulation of Signaling Pathways during Morphogenesis” will be the main topics for the presentation sessions. To maintain the high quality of the conference and in accordance with the conclusion remarks from the PI meeting, all talks will be invited ones and about 75 active researchers will be invited to the conference. Since the CCDB has the tradition of being creative, constructive and cooperative, the organizing committee has decided to invite a number of outstanding junior PIs to present their work at this meeting. Other than that, several outreach activities will be organized to promote the interaction between established PIs and junior PIs.
