As Scientists understand and learn to manipulate nano scale materials, they are laying the foundation for the future of more compact, efficient and cutting-edge new generation advanced electronics. During the last two decades exciting developments have taken place in Electronics Science and Engineering, and the technology has progressed utilizing enhanced power of computation and advancements in the design of electronic systems based on Smart Sensors, Application Specific Integrated Circuits, Field Programmable Gate Arrays, Digital Signal Processors and Embedded Micro-controllers with Real-time Operating Systems. These new generation electronic systems are unfolding at rapid rate in terms of their range of applications and impact. While significant advances are taking place in each of the technological areas, e.g. VLSI Architectures and Dynamic Reconfigurable Systems, Signal and Image Processing, Communications and need for periodic review, cross fertilization of interdisciplinary concepts and ideas is increasingly becoming apparent. It is with these aspects in mind that ICAES-2013 is being organized at CSIR-CEERI, Pilani, INDIA during 21st – 23rd September, 2013 in collaboration with BITS, Pilani and IEEE Delhi Section. The conference aims to provide a forum for presentation of high quality research papers describing original research work, new research results, state-of-art design and practical applications, identification of R&D trends and future directions. It also promotes interaction among various stakeholders dealing with various aspects of the discipline. The conference will consist of tutorial sessions, plenary/invited talks and contributed papers on various focus areas in advanced electronics. There will be a dedicated session for Ph.D. students to present their work to an international panel of experts and receive feedback on their research ideas/results. It is also proposed to organize an exhibition on the sidelines of the conference to provide an opportunity to related companies/institutes to display their products.
