The International Symposium on (e, 2e), Double Photoionization and Related Topics & the 17th International Symposium on Polarization and Correlation in Electronic and Atomic Collisions will be held in Hefei, China, August 1-August 3, 2013 as official satellite meetings of the XXVIII International Conference on Photonic, Electronic and Atomic Collisions (ICPEAC) held in Lanzhou. This twin satellite conference covered a broad range of currently hot topics in the relevant fields. These include:
· Many-body interactions and electron-electron correlation effects in single and multiple ionization processes.
· Alignment and polarization effects in excitation and charge transfer processes.
More than 120 scientists from around the world are expected to come to Hefei to discuss the most recent progress on these topics. In each of the symposia invited talks will be presented, with several joint sessions covering topics of interest to both communities. Further work will be displayed in poster sessions.
The conference will be hosted by School of Physical Sciences and Hefei National Laboratory for Physical Sciences at Microscale of University of Science and Technology of China and will run from Wednesday evening (registration and welcome reception), July 31, 2013 through Saturday morning, August 3, 2013.
