This conference is seeking papers to be on the program that provide field evidence on any management accounting practice. Field studies may have an interpretive or positivistic perspective and provide qualitative and/or quantitative evidence. Papers are also welcome that provide perspectives on how to improve field studies on management accounting practices. Management accounting is a practice that is dynamic with new techniques and approaches under continuous development. Given that, contributions are welcome on a broadly conceived understanding of management accounting practices with indicative topics including: accounting controls, budgeting, strategy and capital budgeting, compensation, cost accounting, incentive contracting, internal auditing and control, management controls, performance evaluation, performance measurement, target costing, transfer pricing and other management accounting and control issues in inter-organizational settings.
The conference will be held in Beijing on 7-8 June 2013. Conference submissions and presentations will be in English and Chinese. Papers accepted for presentation will be assigned discussants to help clarify and improve the contributions of these papers.
A registration fee of RMB 1,200 will be charged on site at the conference hotel. The registration fee is waived for paper presenters and discussants.
