The 2013 GRC on High-Throughput Chemistry and Chemical Biology (HTCCB) will feature cutting edge talks bridging the disciplines of organic chemistry and chemical biology, covering a diverse range of topics. Invited speakers from both industry and academia will focus on the latest advances in synthetic methodology, reaction discovery, chemical biology, medicinal chemistry, library synthesis and screening. An overarching theme of the meeting is the application of high-throughput experimentation to research problems in these fields. The HTCCB GRC will continue its tradition of excellent science in a relaxed atmosphere and will be held at Colby-Sawyer College in New London, NH. All conferees are encouraged to present a poster, as the afternoon poster sessions are an important part of the scientific and social exchange at the HTCCB GRC. The GRC has historically provided a unique gathering where colleagues and friends engage in informal discussion and exchange of ideas, and the 2013 meeting is set to provide likewise. I am especially pleased to announce that the 3rd Gordon Research Seminar (GRS) for our conference will be held the weekend prior to the GRC on June 1-2. The HTCCB GRS is being organized by Jacqueline Wurst (The Broad Institute) and Joanna Loh (University of Kansas) and will provide an opportunity for trainees to share science and interact with leading researchers in an intimate setting. Graduate students and post-docs are encouraged to apply to both the GRS and GRC.
