We are pleased to announce the 4th International Particle Accelerator Conference, IPAC’13 to take place in Shanghai, China, from 12 to 17 May, 2013. After finishing its first circle through Asia, Europe and North America, now IPAC is back to Asia again.
Shanghai is situated on the banks of the Yangtza River Delta in Eastern China. With a history of more than 700 years, Shanghai grows up as one of the largest city in terms of population with over 20 million people in its metropolitan area. The city is an emerging tourist destination renowned for its historical landmarks such as the Jin Mao Building, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the Bund and Lujiazui financial center, etc. The most attractive part of Shanghai is that Western and Eastern cultures co-exist in the metropolis. You can appreciate European architectures on hustling avenues as well as local residency at the quite backstreets.
The venue of the conference, Shanghai International Convention Center is located in the heart of Lujiazui, adjacent to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and facing the multinational styles of architecture along the Bund across the Huangpu River. It is easily accessible from all parts of the city with modern transportations and the metro line No.2 is well within reach. Shanghai International Convention Center has successfully held the important domestic and international conferences and received many political celebrities, including the Fortune Global Forum, APEC Leaders’ Summit and series of meetings, the 35th Asian Development Bank Council Annual Meeting, etc.
We hope you’ll have fun in Shanghai.
