活动简介

The 13th Australasian Symposium on Parallel and Distributed Computing (AusPDC 2015) will be held in Sydney, Australia  in conjunction with Australasian Computer Science Week, 27-30 January 2015.

The submission deadline is extended to 1 September 2014 (hard deadline).

   Keynote Speaker

In-transit Analytics on Distributed Clouds: Applications and Architecture

       Prof. Omer Rana
Director of Distributed and Scientific Computing Group
       Cardiff University, UK

Scope of the Symposium
In 2010, AusGrid event was broadened to include all aspects of parallel and distributed computing and hence was called as Australasian Symposium on Parallel and Distributed Computing (AusPDC). Following a couple of successful events, it comes to the 12th this year in the series. In both New Zealand and Australia parallel and distributed computing has been recognised as strategic technologies for driving their moves towards knowledge economies. A number of projects and initiatives are underway in both countries in these areas. There is a natural interest in tools which support collaboration and access to remote resources given the challenges of the countries location and sparse populations.

Topics of interest for the symposium include (but not limited to):

  • Cloud computing
  • Big Data
  • Grid computing
  • Cluster computing
  • Multi-core systems
  • Peer-to-peer computing
  • GPUs and other forms of special purpose processors
  • Service computing and workflow management
  • Managing large distributed data sets
  • Middleware and tools
  • Performance evaluation and modeling
  • Interconnection networks
  • Performance accelerators
  • Problem-solving environments
  • Parallel programming models, languages and compilers
  • Runtime systems
  • Operating systems
  • Resource scheduling and load balancing
  • Data mining
  • Computational Science and Engineering
  • Agent-based computing
  • Reliability, security, privacy and dependability
  • Applications and e-Science

   Best Paper Awards
The AusPDC 2015 provides two best paper awards to recognize the accepted papers:
                    - Best Paper Award: Presented to the outstanding paper in AusPDC 2015.
                    - CORE Best Student Paper Award: Presented by CORE to the outstanding student paper in AusPDC 2015.

   Special Issues

Selected best papers will be published in the high-ranking journals.

Australasian Computer Science Week
The Australasian Computer Science Week is the annual meeting for computer science researchers and educators held in the Australasian region. It includes the Australasian Computer Science Conference (ACSC), the premiere generalist forum for Australasian computer science academics, as well as several specialist conferences and workshops. Registration for ACSW enables participation in all the ACSW conferences and workshops, including AusPDC 2015.
