The Gordon Research Seminar on Immunology of Fungal Infections is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas. There has been an unprecedented rise in invasive fungal disease. Our need to understand the precise molecular mechanisms that govern successful immune responses to fungal pathogens is greater than ever. This inaugural Gordon Research Seminar on the Immunology of Fungal Infections will provide the platform for young investigators to present their cutting-edge research in a non-intimidating environment while building a rich scientific network with their peers and leading researchers in the field of fungal immunity. Discussions will span diverse topics such as innate immune recognition of fungal pathogens, adaptive immune responses, as well as newly emerging fields such as fungal-microbiota interactions and immunogenetics. While select senior faculty will serve as discussion leaders, the GRS is only open for graduate students and post-doctoral fellows. All applicants are encouraged to submit abstracts; oral presenters will be selected from the abstract pool. Please apply early as our seminar space is limited.
