On behalf of Chinese Association of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine (CAAV), I would like to invite you for the 11th World Conference on Animal Production (11th WCAP) which will be held in Beijing during October 15-20, 2013. China raises more than 20% of the world people by using 7% of earth terrestrial area. Meat production in China is in the top level in the world. The amount of Chinese pigs, sheep, chicken, ducks are taken the largest percentage of the world livestock. China localizes in the North Temperate Zone, characterized by a typical continental climate and distinctive four seasons. Numerous regional domestic animals with unique genotypes represent the local environmental characteristics. This populous country has created such a huge consuming market that attracts the world agricultural industries. The 11th WCAP is hosted by Chinese Association of Animal Science & Veterinary Medicine (CAAV). CAAV established in 1963 which has a history of 74 years, aiming in driving forward of national and international communication and cooperation of animal production researchers. CAAV is possessing 35 branches (societies) and more than 60,000 members in China. The academic program will be extensively scientific in the conference. Besides, China trip will be a valuable experience to all foreigner visitors. Beijing is a city with more than 3,400 years of recorded history and a centuries-old glorious evolution. Great Wall, the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven and many other historical sites and places of interests are the famous visiting sites. Other attractive cities like Xi’an, which has “Terra Cotta Woriors and Horses” recognized as one of the seventh wonder in the world. Representative natural sites in the south of China like in Yunnan and Guangxi provinces are well known for the colorful mountain and river view. City representative is Shanghai.
