Scope:Security, safety, and reliability are the three most important attributes of a system. While security prevents systems from being attacked via potential vulnerabilities, safety ensures systems do not end at any undesired state and cause unacceptable consequences. Reliability is the probability of failure-free system operation for a given period of time in a specified environment. As the complexity of many systems continues to grow, how to ensure security, safety, and reliability becomes absolutely imperative. Not only do the existing technologies and tool supports need to be enhanced, but we also need new strategies and approaches to satisfy more strict requirements on system security, safety, and reliability.
