Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the organizing committee, it gives us great pleasure to invite you to participate in the 7th International Symposium on Advanced Inorganic Materials (ISAIM), which will be held in Shanghai, China, on Aug 9-11, 2024.
ISAIM was firstly held in Tianjin in 2013 and was designed to bring together young scientists previously working in Prof. Yoshio Bando’s group and other groups in NIMS to exchange new academic ideas and promote collaborations. Since then, the 2nd to 6th symposiums have been successfully held in 2015 (Wuhan), 2017 (NIMS, Tsukuba), 2018 (Jinan), 2019 (Beijing), and after three-year suspension due to Covid-19, revived to be held in 2023 (Nanjing). In the meantime, the participants have been extended to scientists from universities and institutions all over the world. The year of 2024 will mark the 7th symposium organized by East China Normal University, Shanghai Institute of Ceramics/Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Fudan University. Our 2024 symposium will once again provide a platform to promote information exchange covering variety of topics with respect to advanced inorganic materials, such as design, theory, synthesis, characterization and application. It also aims to establish a bridge for academic cooperation and enhance international friendship.
We eagerly look forward to meeting you in Shanghai.
Sincerely yours,

Scope of International Symposium on Advanced Inorganic Materials
Inorganic materials have played a foundational role in human history, and some even foresee the 21st century as the "second stone age". With the progression of modern science and technology, an entirely new realm has emerged through advanced inorganic materials. Characterized by multifaceted functionality and remarkable performance, these materials take the spotlight. This symposium is exclusively dedicated to the exploration of advanced inorganic materials, encompassing cutting-edge material design, preparation techniques, property investigations, analytical methodologies, and applications across diverse domains including energy, information, environment, biomedicine, electromagnetism, electronics, optoelectronics, sensing, catalysis, and AI.
