Imaging is a pervasive part of the human experience, from everyday photographs to those used in space exploration, medicine, entertainment, science, or national security. For more than 20 years, EI has been the one international conference where papers on all aspects of electronic imaging, from image sensing to display and hardcopy, are presented. Topics include, but are not limited to stereoscopic display and applications, sensors, digital photography, color hardcopy, human vision, image processing and compression, image quality, image security, image analysis, printing, and multimedia imaging systems. Augmenting the oral, interactive, and keynote presentations are an extensive short course program, targeted exhibit, and the highly-popular interactive demonstration session at which conference authors and others showcase programs and applications.
