The 16th Seminar on Power Electronics and Control, SEPOC 2024, organized by the Federal University of Santa Maria, Brazil, it will happen in hybrid format on October 20 – 23th, 2024.

The main objective of SEPOC 2024 is to provide interaction among academia and industry to discuss the latest cutting-edge technologies on Power Electronics and Control and their applications. In 2024, the main topic of the seminar will be “Smart Energy Systems for the Future: Optimizing Control and Efficiency” applied to Power Electronics, Control and Automation and Power Electric Systems. The event is open to the national and international community, being a great opportunity for technical discussions and bringing together researchers, engineers, entrepreneurs, and students.

SEPOC 2024 will feature panel and plenary sessions, as well as technical papers presented in hybrid and posters sessions. This year, the conference special topics will cover:

i) The role of Control Systems, Power Electronics, and Smart Electrical Networks in the Reliability and Power Quality of Electrical Systems;

ii) Power Electronics, Control Systems, and Power Electrical Systems in the context of Electrical Microgrids;

iii) Power Electronics and Control and Automation aiming to meet the balance between Performance and Energy Efficiency in Industrial Processes.

The Organizing Committee of SEPOC 2024 invites researchers worldwide to submit full papers written in English concerning their original research work to the Seminar.
