I have been a research scientist at Center for Signal Processing and Communications, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Concordia University since 2001, where I became an Affiliate Associate Professor in 2011. I investigated on signal processing, wireless communications, and softcomputing.

In 2014, I founded Xonlink Inc in Ningbo, China, where we work on Internet of things and big data. From 2011 to 2014, I was chief scientist and vice president at Enjoyor Inc, where we focused on intelligent solutions for smart cities, including video-based surveilance monitoring and intelligent transportation systems.During 2008, I spent six months with Signal Processing and Communications Lab, Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong, China, where I worked on cognitive radios.

From 2000 to 2001, I was appointed as an assistant computer officer (held a tilte of Project manager) with Microwave and Communications Laboratory at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), Hong Kong, via the Admission of Talents Scheme of the Hong Kong Special Administration Region. We developed a prototype software radio/smart antenna system for 3G mobile communications, which was funded by a governmental technical transfer project. From 1999 to 2000, I was an RF system engineer at Center for Mobile Communications, TDD R&D Division, China Academy of Telecommunications Technology (CATT), Beijing, China. There, we worked with staff from Siemens on our joint TD-SCDMA project, which was approved by ITU as a 3G mobile communications standard. From 1998 to 1999, I was a software engineer with Huawei Technologies, Division of Wireless Services, on development of DECT basestation. I worked on lower-layer protocol stack programming and real-time operating systems. I received a PhD degree in electrical engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) with a thesis on artificial intelligence and robotics in 1998. Currently, I am a member of editorial boards of IEEE Spectrum Chinese Language Edition, IET Signal Processing, Circuits Systems & Signal Processing, Mathematics, Scientific Reports, AI, and Computer Systems Science and Engineering. I also served as program chair of dozens of international conferences. My current research interest is in signal processing for wireless communications, machine learning, and intelligent systems. On February 14, 2018, I was included in Marquis Who's Who for professional excellence.

Prof. Jinghui Zhong, South China University of Technology, China

Jinghui Zhong is currently a professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering, South China University of Technology, Guangzhou, China. He received his Ph.D. degree from the School of Information Science and Technology, Sun YAT-SEN University, China, in 2012.  During 2013 to 2016, he worked as a Research Fellow at the School of Computer Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His research interests include evolutionary computation (e.g., genetic programming), machine learning, and agent-based modeling and simulation.

       Curriculum development, At Deakin University, I initiated and played a lead role in the conceptualisation and formulation of new undergraduate level degree programs (e.g., IT Security degree program, the IT Security major program and the Bachelor of Health Informatics degree program) and contributed to the development of new degree programs (e.g., Web and Mobile courses).

• Research Grant assessor: I have assessed all types of research grants run by Australian Research council (ARC) as well as many countries including Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, South Africa’s National Research Foundation (NRF), Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO), Swiss National Science Foundation, and many more.

• Academic program assessment: Experienced undergraduate and postgraduate academic program assessor with a sound understanding of various accreditation practices, standards, evidence guide and rules. Hamed Taherdoost is an award-winning leader and R&D professional. He is the Founder of Hamta Group | Hamta Business Corporation and Associate Professor at University Canada West. He holds PhD of Computer Science from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Master of Computer Science (Information Security), and Bachelor degree in the field of Science of Power Electricity. With over 20 years of experience in both industry and academic sectors, Dr Hamed has established himself as an industry leader in the field of Management and Information Systems.

Dr. Hamed has been a part of many important breakthroughs in IT and industrial projects. He specializes in Information Technology Management, and Research & Development. He started his career in 2001 as an electrical designer and programmer in Tablokar, a leading switchgear panel manufacturer in the Middle East. He has subsequently worked at international companies from Cyprus, the UK, Belize, Iran, Malaysia, and Canada and has held positions as varied as Project Manager, R&D Manager, CTO and CEO.

Miaowen Wenreceived the B.S. degree from Beijing   Jiaotong University, China, in 2009, and the Ph.D. degree in Peking   University, Beijing, China, in 2014. From September 2012 to September 2013,   he was a visiting student research collaborator in Princeton University, Princeton,   USA, under the supervision of Prof. H. Vincent Poor. He is currently with   South University of Technology, Guangzhou, China.

Dr. Wen has   published about 30 research papers in refereed journals and conference   proceedings. He received the outstanding Ph.D. thesis price from Peking   University and the best paper award from the IEEE International Conference on   ITS Telecommunication (ITST 2012) and the IEEE International Conference on   ITS (ITSC 2014). He has 1 issued China patent as well as 4 China patents and   1 PCT patent in application. He served as an IEEE member and a member of the   Technical Program Committee for IEEE ICC 2014/2015, IEEE VTC 2014 Fall/2015   Spring, and IEEE GLOBECOM 2015. His recent research interests include spatial   modulation, underwater acoustic digital signal processing, and information theory.

MARCIN PAPRZYCKI received the MS degree from Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, Poland, the PhD degree from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas, and the doctor of science degree from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Sofia, Bulgaria. He is an associate professor with the Systems Research Institute, Polish Academy of Sciences. He is a senior member of the ACM, a senior fulbright lecturer, and an IEEE Computer Society distinguished visitor. He has contributed to more than 500 publications and was invited to the program committees of more than 800 international conferences.

Dr. Lingyu Liang is currently an Associate Professor with the School of Electronic and Information Engineering, and with the School of Future Technology, South China University of Technology. From 2016 to 2017, he has been as an honorary postdoctoral researcher with the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has published over 30 scientific papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings, including TCYB, TNNLS, TMM, TAFFC, TCSVT, PR, CVPR, NeurIPS and IJCAI. He has been a principle investigator of 13 research projects, including National Natural Science Foundation of China, Guangdong Natural Science Foundation, CAAI-Huawei MindSpore Open Fund, SenseTime Research Fund for Young Scholars etc. His current research interests include image analysis and recognition (covering images of face, natural scene, document/text and architectural design) and machine learning (including analysis and application of GNN and PDE models)
