Experimental Study of Damping Characteristics of Magnetorheological Torsional Vibration Damper Shaft System

                摘要
                In order to solve the problem of traditional passive silicone oil damper with narrow tuning range and difficult matching design, this study proposes a magnetorheological torsional vibration damper (MRTVD) in the form of a double coil based on the rheological effect of magnetorheological fluid, and uses variable damping control to suppress the torsional vibration of the shafting. Firstly, the mechanical model of the designed MRTVD was derived, and the magnetic field simulation and experimental verification were carried out. Based on the torsional vibration experimental setup of shafting, the coupling model of MRTVD-shafting was built. Finally, the torsional response of the shafting was obtained by resonance experiments, and the effect of the current acting on the magnetorheological torsional vibration damper on the torsional vibration characteristics was analyzed. The study results show that the use of MRTVD can make the working shafting show obvious variable damping characteristics, and the MRTVD exhibits good torsional vibration suppression performance at appropriate currents.
