President’s Welcome Speech

The vast majority of COVID-19 infection occurred in buildings. Healthy buildings that can slow down and even prevent indoor infectious disease transmission are extremely needed. It is right time for the whole world to summarize and discuss the roles of buildings in epidemic control for a healthy residence. On the other hand, buildings consume approximately one third of the primary energy. Reduction of the carbon-based energy consumption is a global consensus. Resilient healthy buildings shall not be under the expense of high energy use. Healthy buildings powered by renewable energy or low carbon energy is the right track to a harmonic and sustainable society.

Healthy Buildings 2023 Asia and Pacific Rim aims to address the challenges of buildings in epidemic control, health resilience, and the reduction of carbon-based energy use when constructing and operating healthy buildings. The conference is going to be a highly multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary conference, upholding the theme of “Resilient healthy buildings and the low-carbon solutions”. This conference would definitely set a solid and professional platform to propel the development of healthy building sciences and technologies, and generate new ideas, directions and better solutions for resilient healthy buildings, healthy cities, a healthy Asia and Pacific Rim, and a healthy world, and offer low-carbon strategies to construct and operate healthy buildings.

We have once successfully organized COBEE 2008 in Dalian and ISHVAC-COBEE 2015 in Tianjin. Each of these two conferences attracted more than 500 participants from the world. The organizing team promises to prepare and organize Healthy Buildings 2023 Asia and Pacific Rim elaborately for a wonderful and fruitful conference.

I look forward all of the friends over the world to attend Healthy Buildings 2023 Asia and Pacific Rim in Tianjin, China.

The Organizing Committee cordially invites you to submit abstract, paper, and workshop proposal to Healthy Buildings 2023 Asia and Pacific Rim. Our conference theme is resilient healthy buildings and the low-carbon solutions. The conference aims to address the challenges of buildings in epidemic control, health resilience, and the reduction of carbon-based energy use when constructing and operating healthy buildings.

征稿范围

This Healthy Buildings 2023 Asia and Pacific Rim is going to be a highly multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary conference, upholding the theme of “Resilient healthy buildings and the low-carbon solutions”. The conference aims to address the challenges of buildings in epidemic control, health resilience, and the reduction of carbon-based energy use when constructing and operating healthy buildings.

The multi-discipline and inter-discipline feature are largely embodied in the conference topics, which ensures the full participation of different disciplines related to buildings, health, medical, energy, people, management, policy, etc. A preliminary list is presented below:
