WELCOME TO ICGG 2022
In 2022, the International Conference on Geometry and Graphics (ICGG) will reach its 20th edition, after 44 years of many successful events around the world. In 2022, Brazil will commemorate the bicentenary of its independence. As the intersection of these memorable moments, the 20th edition of the International Conference on Geometry and Graphics (ICGG 2022) will be held on August 15-19, 2022, in São Paulo, where the independence of Brazil was proclaimed.
In the last two centuries, from a small village outpost for inland explorers, São Paulo has transformed to the largest city in South America and the most important economic and cultural center of Brazil. Home of the largest Arab, Italian, and Japanese diasporas, nowadays it is a cosmopolitan melting pot city that offers a variety of entertainment, cultural attractions, and gastronomy.
In the last four decades, the ideals of a group of enthusiasts generated the International Society for Geometry and Graphics (ISGG), an ever-growing community that promotes international collaboration and stimulates the scientific research and teaching methodology in the fields of Geometry and Graphics.
As an excellent opportunity to strengthen the tie with the international community, we welcome professionals, researchers, professors and students in architecture, engineering, industrial design, mathematics and arts to share recent findings and experiences on theoretical and applied, analog and digital Geometry and Graphics and related fields at ICGG 2022 and to celebrate the memorable achievements together.
In the light of the uncertainties due to the pandemics and based on the survey carried out with the contributing authors, the event will be hold in a fully virtual format. Following the successful online ICGG 2020, asynchronous full presentation, based on on-demand video, combined with compact technical sessions for online live discussions will be adopted. We are confident that this is the best option to enable high-quality technical discussions and maximum participation of all attendees so that the event will be another fruitful edition in the long tradition of ICGG.
Prospective authors are invited to submit their scientific contributions, that is, Full Papers (6 to 12 pages) or/and Posters Papers (4 pages). The contributions will be selected through a peer-review process and, after acceptance, the authors can prepare and submit the camera-ready version of their papers. For Poster Papers, further submission of the poster before the event is required for the poster presentation.
The Full Papers and Posters Papers, which must be original and unpublished anywhere else, will be included in the Conference Proceedings published by Springer and indexed as Scopus and EI Compendex records. Selected papers will be invited to submit to the Journal for Geometry and Graphics (JGG). Submission of Posters Paper and associated Poster Presentation is encouraged in this edition, and the authors can submit one or more than one contribution. The official conference language is English.
