Welcome to the 2021 International Conference on the UK – China Emerging Technologies (UCET) now in its sixth iteration!
The world today is striving to be smarter and ubiquitously connected resulting in an explosive growth of heterogeneous and intelligent devices with diverse capabilities. Communication and Sensing (including antennas) are thus becoming increasingly interweaved and are considered an integral part of most modern technologies. Both communication and sensing systems are experiencing widespread applications beyond their usual domain and playing a crucial role in every aspect of our lives including healthcare, automation, transport, weather, gaming, education, safety and security.
The 2021 6th International Conference on UK-China Emerging Technologies (UCET 2021) will be held on 4th-6th November, 2021 at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. The conference is aimed at providing a vibrant platform for sharing ideas among researchers and practitioners from both industry and academia working on state-of-the-art research and development in the aforementioned technologies. The conference will employ telepresence and tele-presentation format.

Papers reporting original research results and experience are solicited. By submitting a manuscript to UCET, authors acknowledge that it has not been previously published or accepted for publication in substantially similar form in any peer-reviewed venue with publicly accessible papers, including journals, conferences, workshops, or other peer-reviewed, archival forums. Furthermore, no paper substantially similar in content has been or will be submitted to another peer-reviewed conference or workshop with publicly accessible papers during the review period. The authors also attest that they did not submit a substantially similar submission to UCET 2021. Violation of any of these conditions will lead to rejection.
By submitting a paper to UCET, the authors agree to the review process and understand that papers undergo a peer-review process. Manuscripts will be reviewed by appropriately qualified experts in the field selected by the Conference Committee, who will give detailed comments and — if the submission gets accepted — the authors submit a revised ("camera-ready") version that takes into account this feedback.
All papers are reviewed using a single-blind review process: authors declare their names and affiliations in the manuscript for the reviewers to see, but reviewers do not know each other's identities, nor do the authors receive information about who has reviewed their manuscript.
The Committees of UCET 2021 invest great efforts in reviewing the papers submitted to the conference and organizing the sessions to enable the participants to gain maximum benefit.
