An analytical and experimental hybrid dynamic stiffness formulation is presented in this paper for a three degree-of-freedom (DOF) machine supported on a truss raft system by multiple mounts. Dynamic stiffness matrices are proposed analytically for a machine and a typical truss-like raft based on dynamic stiffness method (DSM). While the impedance matrices of the isolators between a machine and a raft are obtained experimentally in contrast to modeling them conventionally as combinations of frequency-independent springs and dampers. The impedance matrix of BE25-typed isolators are tested and applied in dynamic responses prediction in a typically machine-raft system in numerical simulation. The hybrid modeling is more flexible and generalized owing to being more close to real engineering problems and making full use of experimental results.
