活动简介

The International Conference on Computational Science is an annual conference that brings together researchers and scientists from mathematics and computer science as basic computing disciplines, researchers from various application areas who are pioneering computational methods in sciences such as physics, chemistry, life sciences, and engineering, as well as in arts and humanitarian fields, to discuss problems and solutions in the area, to identify new issues, and to shape future directions for research.

ICCS 2021 in Kraków, Poland, will be the twenty-first in this series of highly successful conferences. Located on the Vistula River, Kraków is the second largest city in Poland and one of the leading centers of Polish academic, economic, cultural and artistic life.

Since its inception in 2001, ICCS has attracted increasingly higher quality and numbers of attendees and papers. Average attendance each year is about 350 participants. The proceedings series have become a major intellectual resource for computational science researchers and serve to both define and advance the state of the art of the field. An archive of the previous meetings is available through the Previous ICCS conferences page.

Out of the submitted full papers to the main track and thematic tracks, we will select some 30% high-quality papers for presentation at the conference and publication in the proceedings. These are published by Springer in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series and indexed by Scopus, EI Engineering Index, Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (included in ISI Web of Science), and several other indexing services. The papers will contain linked references, XML versions and citable DOI numbers.

As the conference theme this year is “Computational Science for a Better Future”, papers highlighting the role of Computational Science in tackling the current challenges of our fast-changing world will be particularly welcomed.

This conference will be a unique event focusing on recent developments in: scalable scientific algorithms; advanced software tools; computational grids; advanced numerical methods; and novel application areas. These innovative novel models, algorithms and tools drive new science through efficient application in areas such as physical systems, computational and systems biology, environmental systems, finance, and others.

ICCS is an A-rank conference in the CORE classification.

We look forward to welcoming you to this exciting event in Poland!

Call for papers
----------------------------------
The International Conference on Computational Science - ICCS 2021 - is now inviting submissions reporting original, unpublished research and recent developments in Computational Sciences by 18 December 2020.
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=iccs2021

All accepted papers will be included in the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series and indexed by Scopus, EI Engineering Index, Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (included in ISI Web of Science), and several other indexing services. The papers will contain linked references, XML versions and citable DOI numbers. After the conference, selected papers will be invited for a special issue of the Journal of Computational Science (Impact Factor: 2.644 http://www.journals.elsevier.com/journal-of-computational-science).

The ICCS conference is the prime annual event in Computational Science. This interdisciplinary conference on modelling and simulation of real-world phenomena will draw academic and industry leaders from all relevant fields. ICCS intends to provide a forum to disseminate world-leading research in the field of (scientific) Computational Science and in particular to highlight the role which modelling and simulation plays in future scientific discovery.

ICCS 2021 invites original contributions on all topics related to Computational Science, including, but not limited to:

  * Scientific Computing
  * Problem Solving Environments
  * Advanced Numerical Algorithms
  * Complex Systems: Modeling and Simulation
  * Hybrid Computational Methods
  * Web- and Grid-based Simulation and Computing
  * Parallel and Distributed Computing
  * Advanced Computing Architectures and New Programming Models
  * Visualization and Virtual Reality as Applied to Computational Science
  * Applications of Computation as a Scientific Paradigm
  * New Algorithmic Approaches to Computational Kernels and Applications
  * Computational Humanities
  * Education in Computational Science
  * Large Scale Scientific Instruments
  * Computational Sociology

----------------------------------
Paper Types and Publications
----------------------------------
Papers of up to 14 pages, written in English and complying with the Springer LNCS format, should be submitted electronically through the EasyChair submission system:
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=iccs2021
Templates are available for download in the EasyChair menu, in the "New submission" mode.

You are welcome to participate in one of the thematic tracks or in the Main Track (if your topic does not fit any particular thematic track but still falls within the scope of the conference). During submission, you may select either a "Full/Short Paper" or an "Abstract Only" publication. By default, it will be an oral presentation. If you prefer to present a poster, please check the "Poster Presentation" option in the submission page.

While we encourage full paper submissions, the "Abstract Only" option caters to researchers who can only publish in specific journals or work for companies in circumstances such that they cannot publish at all, but still want to present their work and discuss it with their peers at ICCS. In the "Abstract Only" option, a short abstract is published in a book of abstracts, but not in the LNCS conference proceedings.

Submission implies the willingness of at least one of the authors to register and present the paper.
Papers must be based on unpublished original work and must be submitted to ICCS only.

----------------------------------
Important Dates
----------------------------------
Paper submission deadline: 18 December 2020
Notification of acceptance: 29 January 2021
Camera-ready papers and registration: 5 March 2021
