This paper proposes a regeneration and innocent treatment method for decommissioned sulfur hexafluoride adsorbent by taking advantage of the ultrasound cavitation effect. Compared with traditional methods, this one features low cost, high efficiency and good effects. The proposed method mainly regenerates the adsorbent through ultrasound cavitation, conducts innocent treatment of desorbed adsorbate in alkali solution to eliminate the harm to environment. According to this method, it is determined through the experimental study that the optimal treatment period of decommissioned adsorbent with the ultrasound cavitation effect is 20min, and the adsorption capacity of renewable adsorbent can be recovered to 85% to 90%, with extremely high application value.
