In celebrating the life achievement of their proud son Shing-Tung Yau, Jiaoling County (Guangdong Province, China) will hold a ceremony on Dec. 22, 2018 to unveil a sculpture "Calabi-Yau space” located on its central square, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the solution of the Calabi conjecture.As part of this ceremony, we will organize an international conference as the opening of the conference series "Forty Years of Calabi-Yau Theory”, at Jiaoling County on Dec 22-23, 2018.

It is our great honour to welcome you to the "Forty Years of Calabi-Yau Theory", hosted by Yau Mathematical Center in Tsinghua University(YMSC).

The history of Jiaoling County dates back to the Ming Dynasty; it has numerouswell-preserved historical sites and has a proud rich heritage. Part of the ceremony is to explore these sites and heritage. Apart from these, Shing-TungYau will lead a group tour of the residence complex of his ancestors, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

Jiaoling is also famous for its natural beauty and is one of the top places of longevity in theworld:  Number 7 in the world and Number 4 in China. Consequently, Jiaoling has been featured in many major programs of CCTV on secrets of living long and healthy lives.
