Objectives of the conference
CoNCISa 2018 is the sixth National Conference on Computing, Information Technology and Systems. The series of conferences CoNCISa was initiated and organized by the Venezuelan Computer Society (SVC) in 2013, in conjunction with different universities and institutions of higher education in our country. This sixth national conference is organized by the Computing Department of the Faculty of Engineering of the Universidad de Los Andes and will be held in Mérida in October of this year.
The main objective of CoNCISa 2018 is to continue with the annual exchange of research experiences as well as academic and technological experiences, seeking to strengthen cooperation ties at the national level and promote cooperation links at an international level in order to positively contribute to progress in the areas of computing, computers and systems in our country.

Work sessions:
Research session : considers original research papers (that have not been published) in all areas of computing. Two forms of contribution are accepted: long articles (up to 12 pages) destined to report scientific and applied research completed; and short articles (up to 5 pages) intended to report research progress or generate discussion on topics of scientific interest. The articles received will be subject to a rigorous revision based on standard criteria of clarity, relevance, importance and originality.
Session of technologies and computational tools : considers developed and tested works, nationally or internationally, that contribute in the solution of computational problems of certain complexity. Two types of contribution are accepted: articles (up to 12 pages) designed to describe the problem and the technical characteristics of the solution; or, technological demonstrations described in a precise way through a summary (up to 5 pages). The received works will be evaluated based on clarity, relevance, importance and innovation.
Information Technology Management Session : considers reports (up to 10 pages) of organizational experiences in technical solutions related to technology management. It is expected that these solutions have been proposed, adapted, tested and / or improved to solve real problems found in Venezuelan organizations. The received works will be evaluated based on clarity, relevance, importance and innovation.
Information for the submission of works:
Papers should be written in Spanish or English, and should be sent in PDF through EasyChair , taking as reference the format for articles of IEEE ( Manuscript Templates for Conference Proceedings ) in letter size (8.5 "x 11"). Also, the following should be taken into account:
If the contribution is written in Spanish, use the word Summary for the summary and Keywords for the keywords. Note that only a title, a summary and a list of key words are required, all in Spanish. In other words, these elements should not be translated into English.
If the contribution is written in English, use the word Abstract for the summary and Keywords for the keywords. Note that only a title, a summary and a list of keywords are required, all in English. That is, these elements should not be translated into Spanish.
The summary should not contain special characters, formulas, figures, tables, lists, citations to references, etc.
The bibliographical references must be included explicitly and sequentially in the work. Each reference is a number in brackets ([1], [2], [3], etc.), ascending. Each reference in the text has its corresponding description in the references section.
The IEEE templates required include more precision about the format and how to make the references.
Given that the process of evaluation of the works is done blindly, it is required that the articles in PDF format that are uploaded to the EasyChair do not include data to identify the authors, such as names, surnames, emails, affiliations thereof . It is also suggested not to include links to web pages where information of authors or acknowledgments that may lead to infer who the authors are. Thus, the article sent to evaluation is identified only through the title, abstract or abstractand the list of keywords. In case the work is finally accepted to be presented at the conference and published in the minutes and on the website of the event, the final version or camera ready, must contain all the data initially excluded.
If a work includes copyrighted material , it is necessary for the authors to obtain express authorization for the use of the material before submitting the contribution for evaluation.
Those authors who make multiple submissions should ensure that each work has sufficient original content. The submitted works, to any of the categories of planned sessions, will be evaluated by specialists of recognized scientific and professional trajectory. Those works that exceed the maximum number of pages allowed will be rejected without review.
The accepted papers will be published digitally in the minutes of the conference and the best works in long format, will be invited to participate in a special editionof the ReVeCom magazine of the Venezuelan Computer Society.
