For the past few years, silicon carbide and other wide bandgap semiconductors have become a commanding point of competition and strategy in global high-tech field and a hot point in research and development of international semiconductor. Based on these wide bandgap semiconductor materials, semiconductor lighting has formed a huge industry and continues for the further development in power electronic devices. 

The international conference of ICSCRM（International Conference on Silicon Carbide and Related Materials）and ECSCRM（European Conference on Silicon Carbide and Related Materials） has been established, which is mainly reflected in the development trend of science and technology in the United States, Europe and Japan. To promote the development of silicon carbide and other wide bandgap semiconductors of the Asia-Pacific region, The Asia-Pacific Conference on Silicon Carbide and Related Materials(APCSCRM 2018) has be sponsored by IAWBS(Innovation Association of Wide Bandgap Semiconductor Technology), IOP(Institute of physics of Chinese academy of sciences) and Beijing Ceramic Society. And the conference will be held on July 9~12, 2018 in Beijing with nearly 400 participants. 

APCSCRM 2018 will be focused on topics related to new materials (SiC, GaN, AlN, diamond, GaO, ZnO, and etc.) and also with advanced technologies of their device manufacturing and processing. Extensive exchange will be carried out around bulk and epitaxial growth, material structure and property, photoelectron and electronic device, related equipments, which will greatly enhance industry-university-research cooperation and communication. We believe APCSCRM 2018 will certainly give a big push to the academic research, technological progress and industrial development of wide bandgap semiconductor materials and devices in the Asia-Pacific region.

APCSCRM will be a high level of conference on Silicon Carbide and Related Materials in the Asia-Pacific region. From 2018, the conference will be held annually at different locations in the Asia-Pacific region.
