Welcome to the 25th IEEE International Symposium on the Modeling, Analysis, and Simulation of Computer and Telecommunication Systems, affectionately known as MASCOTS. The conference was sponsored by IEEE, the IEEE Computer Society, and TCSIM. This year marked the 25th edition of the MASCOTS conference, and provided an excellent opportunity to celebrate the history and ongoing success of the conference series.
IEEE MASCOTS 2017 was a three-day conference focusing on the performance modeling and analysis of computer systems and communication networks. The technical program for the IEEE MASCOTS 2017 conference included keynote talks, full papers, and short papers. About 50 people attended the event.
IEEE MASCOTS 2017 took place in Banff, Alberta, Canada on September 20-22, 2017. The conference was held at The Banff Centre.
The MASCOTS conference encourages original submissions describing state-of-the-art research in the areas of the performance evaluation of computer systems and networks.
Papers describing results of theoretic and/or practical significance are solicited. Experimental, modeling, and simulation studies are all in the scope of the conference. Work presenting novel performance evaluation methods or providing insights on design and runtime management tradeoffs are particularly encouraged.
