As the most widely used construction material in the world, modern concrete is facing the increasing challenges for satisfying the requirements of safety and functionality of structures. Many studies have been devoted to this goal by taking the advantages of nanotechnology, fibers and other new admixtures to develop concrete with multiple functions such as ultra-high strength, high ductility, self-sensing, self-healing, high damping capacities and high toughness. Nano-engineered and multifunctional concrete is becoming one of the most hot research topics in the field of concrete. Thus, we organize this international workshop aiming at the development and application of nano-engineered and multifunctional concrete. The objective of this workshop is to provide a forum for international researchers, specialists, professionals to share the state of the art in nano-engineered and multifunctional concrete field with new results, fresh ideas and future perspectives.
