IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society,Instrumentation and Measurement Technical Committee on Wireless and Telecommunications in MeasurementTC-13,Instrumentation and Measurement Technical Committee on Measurement and Networking TC-37 and Shanghai Maritime University is pleased to announce that the 1st International Symposium on Sensing and Instrumentation in IoT era (ISSI2018) will be held on September 6 to 7,2018 in Shanghai,China. ISSI2018 represents a forum where researchers,scientists,engineers and practitionersaround the world will promote their work related to advances development in thesensing and instrumentation field in relation to IoT technologies and focusingon IoT standardization but also on IoT applications on information society considering domains such as smart industry,smart transportation or smart homes.Important findings regarding sensing and instrumentation as part of IoT calibration and testing frameworks will be considered.The symposium also valorizes new and original research in IoT application fields such smart city,smart ports,smart healthcare,and generally promote the developments of smart and intelligent systems for applications in the IoT era.All papers will be peer reviewed on the basis of a full length manuscript and acceptance will be based on quality,originality and relevance.Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings with an IEEE catalog number and ISBN number.
