The 3^rd SA Biomedical Engineering Conference will be held at the Spier Wine Estate, outside of the University Town of Stellenbosch. The conference will be held from the 4-6 April 2018.

Biomedical Engineering is a progressive and exciting field aimed at improving or solving health-related problems. It involves the multidisciplinary application of any of Physics, Mathematics, Sciences and Engineering at the intersections of Biology, Medicine and Health Sciences.

Following the success of the 2016 event, the new Institute for Biomedical Engineering (IBE) and the Biomedical Engineering Research Group (BERG) at Stellenbosch hereby invites you to our 2018 conference. This three day conference is intended as a networking event for academics, students and industry partners who are active in the field of health technology.

Our primary aim is to facilitate collaboration between universities, science councils and industry. There remains a huge potential for innovation and human capacity building in this field in South Africa and abroad.
