In the past decades, due to the grant growth of sequencing technologies a variety of bio-data have been revealed. Therefore, the challenge to process and analyze these data becomes more and more important. Efficient database, high performance computing, cloud computing services, AI methodologies, and so forth have been applied to overcome this challenge. HPCB 2017 is intended to provide a forum for researchers to present their contributions as technical papers related to the new computation methods for analyzing big data in bioinformatics and all kinds of successful and potential applications.
