It is our great pleasure to announce 2018 the 3rd International Workshop on Pattern Recognition (IWPR 2018) will be held on May 19-21, 2018 in University of Jinan, Jinan, China. It is sponsored by University of Jinan and supported by Shandong University, China,Shandong University of Science and Technology, China, Ocean University of China, China. The IWPR theme in 2018 is: new challenge and opportunity of pattern recognition. IWPR was established in 2016 and was successfully held in Tokyo, Japan (2016), and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (2017). In the last two years, IWPR attracted attendees from more than 15 countries. It was praised for the richness of its social networking, was widely recognized for its continuous adaptation to emerging technical trends, and attracting numerous industry and academic players. IWPR 2018 aims to put forward among researchers and practitioners the newest developments and research achievements in the broad area of pattern recognition, including computer vision, human computer interaction, machine learning, image, speech, signal and video, multimedia, document analysis, biometrics, biomedical recognition, bioinformatics and various applications of pattern recognition.
