ICAAMM – 2018 is a sequel to ICAAMM-2016, which was held at MLR, Institute of Technology, Hyderabad from 7th to 9th July 2016, ICAAMM-2018 will be the second international Conference in the series with the same theme as “Advancements in Aeromechanical materials for Manufacturing”. The stupendous success of ICAAMM-2016 has been the motivating factor to retain the same theme ICAAMM-2018 with advanced topics.
ICAAMM-2016 had attracted a large number quality papers from researchers, academia and industry across many countries. The organizing committee for ICAAMM-2018 will endeavor to spare no efforts to attract many more participants to submit quality research papers. The three days deliberations of ICAAMM-2016, resultant outcomes and consequent feedback from the participants will be taken into account in planning ICAAMM-2018, so that ICAAMM-2018 will be of highest standards to match with the best international conference in the world.
Aeromechanical materials alike continue to be developed and improved to offer ever-increasing performance, whether that’s lighter weight, greater strength, or better heat and corrosion resistance. Accelerating this evolution of new materials, advancements in manufacturing and machining technology give manufacturers unprecedented access to materials previously deemed impractical or too difficult to manufacture. New material adoption is happening exceptionally quickly in aerospace and mechanical engineering, requiring design for manufacturing with interaction between material characteristics and component design. These two must be in balance, and one can’t really exist outside the context of the others. ICAAMM-2018 focuses on the practical implementation of new material technologies and overcoming the complexities in Aeromechanical materials for manufacturing.
The Government of India initiated to “Make in India” has accelerated the growth of aerospace and mechanical Industry in India. Many sectors, which were previously held by public sector undertakings, have been thrown open to private industry with a lot of incentives. These sectors include aerospace, railways and many more. The opening of these sectors is attracting huge amount of funding from MNCs to setup their Industry base in India to avail benefits under “Make in India” initiative. In the coming years there are going to be new horizons and challenges in aeromechanical materials. Further, there will be a catalytic effect in the growth of aero mechanical engineering resulting in the development of critical new materials to meet the present need of the Industry. ICAAMM-2018 will provide the platform for the academia researchers and Industry personal to show case their work in the areas of latest trends in Aeromechanical Materials for manufacturing.
