On behalf of the local organizing committee and the "Swiss Association of Dentomaxillofacial Radiology" we are inviting members of the "The European Academy of Dentomaxillofacial Radiology" and interested colleagues all over the world to join us all in June 2018 for the next ECDMFR meeting to be held in Lucerne, Switzerland. The congress will discuss scientific breakthroughs, current challenges and future trends of DMFR. Lucerne offers a unique opportunity to meet specialists from "The European Academy of Dentomaxillofacial Radiology", researchers from Universities and colleagues from private practices interested in DMFR. Furthermore, the city of Lucerne is geographically located in the heart of Switzerland and Europe. Remember, Lucerne ranks amongst the world's prettiest cities surrounded by the beautiful lake and mountains.

The conference will take place at the "The Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne" – the one-of-a-kind ‚Verkehrshaus’ - just a few metres away from the beautiful shores of lake Lucerne. An outstanding social programme has also been arranged for accompanying guests and families. One of the meetings social highlights will certainly be the "Swiss Evening" to be held on Thursday that will feature traditional dishes and other surprises that make up for our famous "Swissness".

Last but not least, the scientific program promises also to be exciting. The kick-off will be a precongress on the topic of "The virtual patient" on Wednesday (13.06.2018), where internationally renown experts in the field will present the state-of-the-art in imaging and processing of data to provide a functional work-flow for an all digital treatment concept. The main congress - held from Thursday to Saturday - will have keynote lectures on many hot topics in the field of medical and dental radiology focusing on current and future challenges of our specialty. Other highlights will include the traditional junior film reading session, the research competition, and also the many exciting presentations of current research by known experts and young scholars.
