Intelligent algorithms play very important roles in many fields including, but not limited to, robotics, mechatronics and related systems. In recent three to five years, researchers noticed the truth of that ‘Intelligent Algorithms’ will be the soul of many systems and even services. To the technical point of view, intelligent algorithms have gradually appearing in, e.g., computation, modeling, diagnosis, scheduling management, optimization of system integration. Very interesting application objectives can be those diagnosed and integrated systems, such as robots, vehicles, rotors, and so on. Although systems employed with traditional algorithms can provide super behavior compare to the originals, it is still a challenge to understand them fully and enhance their intelligence. There are many issues yet worth to be studied for intelligent algorithms and further their applications. All of these evoke our research interests.
