International Conference on Microelectronics Electromagnetics and Telecommunication (ICMEET) is an international colloquium, which aims to bring together academic scientists, researchers and research scholars to discuss the recent developments and future trends in the fields of microelectronics, electromagnetics and telecommunication. This is the 3rd in the series. First one is ICMEET-2015 was organized by GITAM University Visakhapatnam and second one ICMEET-2016 was organized by Raghu Educational Society Visakhapatnam.
Microelectronics research investigates semiconductor materials and device physics for developing electronic devices and integrated circuits with data/energy efficient performance in terms of speed, power consumption, and functionality.
Research in electromagnetics involves the creation, transmission, and recognition of electromagnetic energy. Remote sensing uses electromagnetics to collect data about distant activities and has many applications, including predicting weather. Current research projects in these areas include development of fast algorithms and high-order numerical methods in computational electromagnetics; development of numerical techniques for multi-scale and multi-physics modelling that can be used to study electromagnetic phenomena and improve system performance; reconfigurable antennas that can be used in multifunctional, cognitive, and sensing systems; and remote sensing of the atmosphere to analyse and predict performance problems with GPS and other communication systems; electrical performance of integrated systems and packages; and development of computer-aided design tools for highspeed circuits and communication networks.
There is a need for real innovations that come from research in telecommunication. Technology for effective utilization of frequency resources, high speed data communications, power saving of wireless communication devices, GPS-based relative positioning method between vehicles and such, which expands the possibilities of wireless communications, is the need of the hour.
The primary goal of ICMEET is to provide a platform to promote sharing of ideas which will contribute to fostering continued research in the respective fields.
