Summit meeting for psychiatry and psychotherapy

It’s happening in autumn 2017: the WPA WORLD CONGRESS OF PSYCHIATRY, one of the most important scientific congresses. Where does the field of psychiatry and psychotherapy stand today? What demands are being made of the field? What can it do? And what impulses can be expected from medical research? Under the overall theme “Psychiatry of the 21st Century: Context, Controversies and Commitment” international experts from science, politics and society will deal with these complex issues and examine them from various perspectives.

Enrich the congress programme with your scientific contribution and share your insights with other professionals. Whether in a fascinating symposium, informative workshop or interesting poster presentation, scientists and practitioners have many and varied opportunities to actively participate. Online registration and abstract submission is now open.

Thank you very much for your submission and for enriching the congress programme! We have outlined the next steps for you.

Symposia and Workshops
Abstract Submission for Section Symposia, Zonal Symposia, Regular Symposia and Workshops is closed. The Scientific Committee will review all abstract submissions for symposia and workshops. Once the reviewing has been completed in the middle of April 2017, chairpersons will receive an email informing them whether the scientific contribution has been rejected or accepted. The symposia speakers will receive a confirmation email that includes the request to register online and upload the abstract text within the accepted symposium in their personal congress section “My Congress”.

Orals and Poster/ePoster-Presentations
Online submission for Oral Presentations, Posters and ePosters is closed. The Scientific Committee will review the abstract submissions for Orals and Poster/ePoster-Presentations. Abstract submitter will receive a notification of acceptance/rejection end of May 2017.

The scientific programme including all dates and timings will be published in August 2017. Beforehand all active participants will be informed about their personal schedule. Please note that all congress participants are obliged to pay the congress fee, including chairpersons, speakers and ePoster/Poster presenters.
