A novel double-doped yellow OLED based on a stable blue host material MADN was proposed firstly in this paper. The yellow emitting layer was formed by doping the yellow dopant of rubrene with 3 wt% into the blue emitter MADN and TBPe. By optimizing the concentration of yellow dopant of rubrene a high luminance and efficiency device with the structure of ITO (170nm)/ m-TDATA (15 nm) / NPB (60 nm)/ Y-EML(37.5 nm)/BCP (10 nm)/ Bphen (18 nm)/Al (200 nm) was obtained. The double-doped yellow fluorescent organic light-emitting devices shows a nearly 46% increase in luminance efficiency over that of the devices based on conventional structures with single EML of NPB or Alq3 doped with 3 wt% rubrene without significantly affecting its color. The CIE coordinates, maxima luminance and power efficiency under current density of 10 mA/cm2 are (0.4687, 0.4983), 21400cd/m2 and 10.8cd/A, respectively.
