Aiming at the problem of long-distance transmission of bridge monitoring data, based on the existing specifications and structural performance of the bridge to determine the indicators of remote monitoring. Utilizing the Raspberry Pi’s GPIO pin, expand the 4G module connected to the Internet, remote sensing of bridge monitoring data is realized by wireless sensor network (WSN) which is composed of sensor node and sink node. Through the sensor node, and the connection between Raspberry Pi and Internet, we can realize remote transmission of monitoring data on Internet platform. Using MySQL database to carry out the massive monitoring information storage and sort management. By means of the remote server for real-time analysis of monitoring data, processing is updated in the customer service system in real time. Establishment of remote monitoring system of bridge engineering is on the base of Internet, so that the staff can grasp the actual working state of the bridge promptly, realizing the bridge engineering remote monitoring, health assessment and safety warning. Research results have important theoretical and practical engineering significance for improving the design of bridge engineering, construction and management level, extending the service life of the bridge and ensuring the safety of bridge operations.
