In this talk, after a short overview of LPI in the ICF context and of our modeling
tools, I will focus on two recent studies linked to the LMJ facility. Firstly, I will present
the design and modeling of a cross-beam energy transfer experiment for LMJ. Energy
transfers are expected in ICF targets and are mitigated by slightly shifting the laser
wavelengths. Then, I will discuss the possibility of improving the laser performances by
revisiting the optical smoothing schemes of LMJ, while keeping the same level of
stimulated Brillouin backscattering.
