Modern pulse oximetry is mainly used in physiological healthy momitorinng,to obtain important medical parameters, such as heart rate and oxygen saturation levels. These devices obtain the photoelectric plethysmography (PPG) data by attaching the user's finger /earlobe/forehead biosensor, and then calculate the oxygen saturation value by calculating the oxygen saturation value. At the time of data acquisition, the movement of the user may cause data to be erroneously collected and cause erroneous determination of the oxygen saturation value. This is due to motion interference caused by the PPG signal data damage what is called motion artifact (MA).The proposed algorithm is used to eliminate the motion interference caused by tissue effect and venous blood changes during body movement. A new synthetic reference signal is used at each stage to design a two-stage normalized minimum mean square adaptive noise canceller to obtain Noise-free PPG signal to calculate the oxygen saturation.Experiments show that the proposed two-stage adaptive elimination algorithm can effectively remove the motion noise and improve the measurement accuracy of oxygen saturation.
