Research on Islands Ecological Vulnerability Assessment Based on GIS

Based on ecological sensitivity, ecological elasticity and ecological pressure, assessment indexes for islands ecological vulnerability was established. The ecological vulnerability assessment of Haitan Island is done with a combination of comprehensive index method and GIS approach, and the picture of ecological vulnerability dominant index level is drawn. The results were agreed with the ecological environment conditions, which can provide scientific evidence for ecological conversation and resource usage of Haitan Island.
