At present, there are many researches on the water level variation of channel dispatching operation at home and abroad. It mainly has the water level to rise and fall to the channel slope stability influence, also includes other problems that should be considered in the analysis of the state of the soil body from the unsaturated to the saturated during the water level rise and fall.The resulting slope stability analysis,and which model can be the most accurate analysis of the slope stability and so on. In this paper, a typical slope in the South-to-North Water Diversion Project is calculated by software, and Mohr-Coulomb standard Qu Yuan is selected to simulate and analyze the influence of water level variation to the slope stability quantitatively and concretely. The slope displacement and the safety factor are obtained after the water level drops. For the future other water conservancy construction and water level decline related to some of the work standards to provide data to achieve the rational design, development and utilization of water conservancy projects. By summarizing the advanced experience of foreign countries and summarizing the outstanding achievements of others, it is of great significance to the water level control design of various large-scale water diversion projects in China in the near future.
