For weathered joint rock slope, rainfall is an important factor which affects its stability. As the 6# typical section of Muliashi Copper Mine for an example, a rainfall seepage analysis model is established. Based on saturated-unsaturated seepage flow theory and unsaturated soil shear strength theory, the slope of 6# typical section is analyzed using limit equilibrium method under short-term heavy rainfall condition. Results show that under short-term torrential rain, the slope safety factor and reliability index has dropped sharply after one hour of rainfall, then continue to reduce, but reduce the amplitude is smaller. In the rain after four hours, the slope stability has a sharp decline, but still reliability index is 1.869, the slope instability probability is not high. The results have great significance for guiding mine rainy season production and preventing rainwater infiltration.
