This paper describes experimental tests developed to understand the effect of reinforcement on concrete long-term behavior after casting. Plain concrete (PC) and reinforced concrete (RC) beam creep tests subjected to a load level of about 50% of the cracking load were conducted in parallel. During the loading process, strains in concrete and reinforcements were measured. The results show that age-adjusted effective modulus method is an effective method to evaluate long-term deformation development of concrete.
