Path planning and Area exploration is the wide area of research in the Robotics. The main aim of the robot is to reach the target in such a way that path should be shortest path and over all Path length should be minimum. A part from these if robot explores the area in which the goal is not present then the time to reach the target will increase. To avoid this problem we proposed a new technique based on area partitioning and frontier cell concept in which the robot chooses the cell which is near to it and target. The results obtained proves that algorithm works successfully in the unknown environment.
