Nowadays, the manufacturing is facing the critical challenges from various aspects including the trend of moving towards the new era of Industrial 4.0—an analytical and predictive driven production thinking, the Smart Factory. Obviously, the concept of the product lifecycle management also needs to evolve accordingly. To answer that, this paper proposes the analytic-driven product lifecycle management framework and the associated models to benefit the practitioners and the factories who are planning or in the pursuit of the vision of Smart factory.
